Shoe Frenzy

I'm already drooling for Shoe Frenzy 2008! The Women's Clinic & Family Counseling Center puts on the benefit sale once a year and I hear it is fabulous.

Reader Sue says "I've been here several times--totally chaos, but fun and you can find some bargains if you get there....really early! Some people get there at midnight and something that I learned after the first time was to bring some duck tape or something to hold the boxes together as you have to carry them all with no baskets!"

Mark your calendars. The sale is Saturday, September 6 from 8 am to noon. They sell brands like Kenneth Cole, Seychelles, Betsey Johnson and Diesel. Most pairs are under $50 and all pairs are under $100. The clinic gets merchants to donate the shoes, which are all new. Caveats: Admission is $1. Parking is free. They accept cash, check with ID and credit card. All sales are final. Doors open at 8 am and you cannot line up before 7, but you can show up early and get a numbered line-up bracelet.
